How should we dress for our family session?

One of the most important tips I can offer you is take some time and iron your wardrobe well ahead of the photography session. Avoid bold patterns and large logos, plain, simple clothing that is comfortable, and flattering. Layers work well so vests, jackets and scarves. Building pattern through texture rather than prints. Avoid skimpy tops which bare your arms and bra straps as well as clothes that are extremely short or revealing.
Similar tonal range but a bit of variation so blues, greys, navy and browns work well together.
Greens, burgundy, mustard and browns make another great color palette. While outdoors, avoid too much white or light colors unless by a lake or sandy beach.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

The best time with a newborn is between five and ten days old. This is because newborns are more likely to be sleepy and curly during this time.
